Resiliant Capitalism

Why is capitalism so persistent? Is it the plasticity in capitalist ideology which allows absorbing it's own contradictions by way of reforming them in capitalism's own root image -- patriarchy --..?

Prioritizing individualism in the capitalist economic system has forced the society to delegate social responsibility to state, which is a hierarchical mirror of the top down economic model. This has allowed the state to absorb these contradictions (need for both be controlled by capital itself through politics.

Faith, which is tied to religious and spiritual experiences, is replaced by an irrational faith in rationality itself, and has elevated money, as a token, to the role of a deity. God, but god that only care about our "productive (material)" labor.

And since a lot of our social interactions have become stressful (for a billion reasons,) capitalist alternatives are built to help us socialize without the need of a real society -- real society where interactions are cooperative sharing of resources, ideas and emotional/physical labor with other humans, as opposed to a society where all relations are mediated through markets. We have come up with social tools -- IG, tiktok.. etc -- to help us (and covertly help capitalism) curate these social interactions without the need to engage in stressful social relations.

More importantly (and it is more troublesome that), even the opposition to capitalism have taken the same image of linear top-down model. Ideas like socialist state, planned economy, "vanguard party", and superiority of "scientific" method, seem to me, are only reflections of dominant ideology that perpetuate patriarchy.

Nice meeting you!!

It's nice to meet new people, but not always. But as far as internet/ blogging goes I know you simply will navigate away from the page If you are bored, or if you don't like it. Why school districts?

School districts seem pretty intuitive, accepting only kids that live close to school. But is it really a fair approach? The schools in low income neighborhoods gets less and less resources (not particularly monetary resources, but personnel resources), and kids in those areas tend to mingle with more and more high risk kids which creates a downward spiral of negative youth development. On the contrary, if the schools would accept any kid, from, say the county, or the state, that would flatten out this problem. Yes, you wouldnt want your kid to be hanging out with those gangster kids... But the reality is, your child looks for peers who matches his and his parents views. Thus if you spend more time looking after him, you wouldnt have to worry as much about his or her peers.

Climate Change..!!!

It is quite a heated debate that is revolving around the climate change and its effects. I was really ignorant on that 'debate' until i met a couple of science students who held a different view than that of mine.
